Blueberries are becoming increasingly popular. A logical development, as it is a healthy and delicious snack, ideal for on the road. Blueberries have a fresh sweet taste and crispy bite. We have many different varieties, some varieties taste slightly more acidic than others.

In the store
Blueberries must be stored in a cool place, between a minimum of 1°C and a maximum of 2°C.
At home
We advise consumers to keep blueberries in the fridge. Our tip: scatter the berries on a plate or dish, to prevent them from bruising.

Usage tips Blueberries

Blueberries are very delicate and must be washed carefully just before use. Blueberries can be eaten by hand as a healthy snack. They are easy to use in all kinds of dishes. Extra tip for the consumer Blueberries are delicious with yogurt or in a smoothie. They are super healthy, because they contain a lot of antioxidants and few calories.

Maturity / Freshness Blueberries

Ripe and fresh blueberries are firm, juicy, round and have a purple-blue colour. Blueberries are delicate fruits, so handle them carefully.

Growing areas Blueberries

In the Dutch season, our blueberries come from our own growers. We also work with growers from Peru, Argentina, Spain, Morocco, Germany and France. Blueberries are delivered from South Africa through our own farm from September to February.
