Slice the squash vertically down the middle and remove the seeds and membranes. Spoon the flesh out. The rind and seeds are not edible. The squash can be used in both sweet and savoury dishes. Muscat squash can be eaten raw, roasted, steamed, boiled or sautéed. The flesh is very good in soups and curries. Pumpkins are also often used in pies and stews.
